Data Deletion
How to ask us to delete your data, what we can remove, and how long it takes.
Last updated: 30 September 2026
The platform is used by organizations to run their own operations, so most data in it belongs to one of them rather than to us.
If you are a customer of a business that messaged you through the platform, ask that business first. They decide what happens to their records, and we act on their instruction. If you write to us instead, we will pass your request to them and tell you we have done so.
If you hold an account on the platform, or you administer an organization that uses it, write to us directly.
- Your user account, including your name, email address, credentials and sign-in history.
- WhatsApp conversations and messages, including message content, phone numbers and contact names.
- Connected account credentials, such as the WhatsApp access token an organization stored.
- Records an organization created about you, such as client, employee or appointment entries.
An organization administrator can disconnect a connected account at any time from Organization settings. Disconnecting deletes the stored credentials straight away, and the platform can no longer send or receive messages on that account.
Disconnecting does not by itself remove the conversations already received. Ask us if you want those deleted as well.
Send an email to [email protected] including the following, so we can find the right records and be sure the request is yours.
- The subject line: Data deletion request.
- The email address of your account, or the phone number the messages were sent to.
- The name of the organization your data relates to, if you know it.
- What you want deleted: everything, or a specific part such as your message history.
We acknowledge every request when we receive it, and complete it within 30 days. If the data belongs to an organization using the platform, that period includes the time we need to confirm the instruction with them.
We will tell you when it is done, and what, if anything, we had to keep.
A small amount of data survives a deletion request, for reasons the law either requires or permits.
- Records we are legally required to retain, such as billing and tax records.
- Security and audit entries showing that an action occurred, reduced so they no longer identify you.
- Copies inside encrypted backups, which are deleted on their normal rotation rather than opened to remove single records.
